(1) TRICK YOUR BRAIN

Start imagining that you have achieved your goal,see your dream body in your mind’s eye,fit into that dress/trousers,take it as a done deal,convince your self that it is achievable.

Do not see it like a difficult task ,it is actually not difficult,you just need to be determined,ready,disciplined to achieve your desired hour glass body.

(2) MAKE WATER YOUR BEST FRIEND

This point can not be over emphasized ,please drink water;sometimes you do not even need food you need fluid,please drink water,trick your brain again allow water fill you,i use a method i call the cement method,i drink a lot of water to cement my stomach(fill my stomach).

Some people do not like water,you can add some mint leaves or drops of lemon juice to give the water some flavour to help you drink it,you could also use scent leaves or lemon grass in your water it is mainly dependent on your preference and what is readily available at your disposal.

(3) LOAD YOUR PLATE WITH VEGETABLES

Eat rice,beans,yams,potatoes etc ; eat everything you want but if for example you used to eat 4 full cooking spoons of rice ,reduce it to 2 full spoons and replace it with vegetables.

If you usually eat 5 slices of bread,reduce to 3 and add tomatoes or cucumber or any other vegetable of choice.

(4) TAKE WALKS

Make conscious efforts to walk around,use the stairs often instead of the elevator,walk short distances instead of driving for those who drive,convince yourself walking is necessary for your general well being.

(5) DO NOT HIT THE ROOF

Use a small plate to eat,do not eat till you become so full thereby becoming very uncomfortable;you would agree with me that when one is so full the next thing you think of naturally is to lie down,you would be so uncomfortable that your stomach would even pain you,so rather than hitting the roof ,trick your brain tell it you can keep this food and come back later in 3 hours,so there is absolutely no need eating like there is no tomorrow.

Imagine for few seconds that you had your best meal in front of you,this scenario would work very well for foodies (people that love food ) and you were told that the hearty meal right in front of you was solely for you,would you rush it?The answer would most likely be NO!

(6) DO NOT ALWAYS SUPPRESS YOUR CRAVING

Indulge once in a WHILE ,imagine a child has been restricted for so long,no outings,very strict parents,the day that child leaves the house he/she is most likely to do and undo,more than other children that had had certain privileges,it would be like the child has been in a cage,same thing with cravings ,if you always suppress your cravings,one day it would come like a whirl wind and you would eat like you just broke out of a cage and you would eat so much and most likely continue because it is like a hole,the more you dig the deeper it becomes,so there is absolutely no need to suppress your cravings.

When you crave something please eat it,as you are eating it tell your self this is poison i do not need too much,eat and stop;when you would have issues is when it becomes habitual,if it is one off please indulge!

(7) IDENTIFY THE CULPRIT

Know what it is that makes you add weight easily and reduc it drastically,for me it bread and butter with very creamy tea that tastes like ice cream,for some it is doughnuts,for some it is meat pies,for some ice cream etc.

(8) SUBSTITUTE BAKED GOODS

I do not want to say eliminate baked goods because it is supposed to be a life style,so eat more real food,organic foods,let’s say instead of eating sausage rolls eat roasted yam and palm oil sauce ,instead of drinking soft drinks,drink green tea,take plain yogurt(unsweetened) you can even add some fresh fruits to it.Instead of taking fruit juices that contain too much sugar ,take real juices,make smoothies,or buy healthy juices from places you are sure make healthy juices sans sugar.

(9) CALL YOUR SNACK A MEAL

Trick your brain to the extent that when you take things high in fibre ie Tiger nuts,Coconuts and a lot of water ,you feel full and your brain thinks Oh the stomach is full! You have a eaten a meal already that is why it is full hahahahahaha the brain was just tricked.

(10) DO THINGS IN MODERATION

Everything should be done moderately eating and drinking inclusive,always tell yourself i am not in a food contest so i mustn’t win.I have a strategy i use for shopping,when i see something i love and really want to buy but not in my budget,i tell myself a pidgin English slogan better thing nor dey finish for market meaningĀ  there would always be good stuffs in the market so i can buy when ever i am ready,you could apply same strategy for food.

(11) IMPROVE YOUR SLEEPĀ 

This is so important,sleep better,take some time off your phone so you can rest,in today’s world there is a very strong addiction to the electronic gadgets most especially the mobile phone,please keep your phone aside so you can rest and sleep well.

Imagine where one has pressed the phone so much and the fingers are beginning to hurt,please allow your phone to rest sometimes lol.

Please practice all these points as stated above and you would get your desired results in no time anyway this is actually dependent on your current weight,discipline and dedication,i strongly hope and desire that you achieve your body goals!
